You Can Use a Secure Drop Box to Return Your Ballot

There Are Multiple Locations Throughout Morris County

Concerned about the Postal Service? 

Then you can drop off your mail-in ballot in a secure Drop Box.  There are secure Drop Boxes located throughout Morris County.

They resemble a FedEx box, but are Red, White & Blue, and display “Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box”. Drop Boxes are locate in fifteen (15) locations across Morris County. The two closest locations to Washington Township are in Chester Township and Mount Olive. See below.

Drop boxes are secure.

  • All are outside and bolted into concrete
  • They are under video surveillance 24/7
  • Each Drop Box can be opened/closed only with a unique set of keys for that specific mailbox. Only the Board of Elections (not the United States Postal Service) has access to those keys.
  • Employees of the Board of Elections pick up ballots from each Drop Box at least once each day. All Security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the ballots.
  • They resemble a FedEx box, but are Red, White & Blue, and display “Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box”
